The Moore County school system has broken ground on its newest school!  This new $8.2 million school will include 66,690 square feet and will accomodate 500 students in grades K-5. Future growth will allow up to 650 students. Clustering the two schools West Pines Elementary and West Pines Middle School will allow them to share utilities.  StatesJohn Krahnert III for the Pilot Newspaper www.thepilot.com

The school is scheduled to open its doors for students in the Fall of 2010. "This is very exciting for Grande Pines residents," states Pete Mace, Developer of Grande Pines which is approximately 6 miles from the new school. "Another reason I saw the opportunity to buy this 750 Acres, this just proves to me that the area is growing in this direction."
